Army officers and families of those killed in the line of duty received gallantry awards from President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday. The awards and Distinguished Services decorations were presented in a defence investiture ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and several other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.
